Navjeevan Social Enterprise Foundation (NJSEF)
Over the last 2 years, she has been actively working on women issues at the community level. It was her passion to work towards their well-being ignited the idea of establishing an Organization called ‘Navjeevan Social Enterprise Foundation’ in April 2020.
The Objective of the Navjeevan Social Enterprise Foundation is to train; empower; and enable the vulnerable women and youth to lead a dignified socio-economic life. The field area covered are slum pockets in Mumbai and Katkari tribal in Raigad district of Maharashtra.
Some of the initiatives of the Navjeevan Social Enterprise Foundation are to
- Establish SHGs and link them to banks/Govt Institutes for financial assistance
- Train the women earn sustainable livelihood and become entrepreneurs
- Facilitate sale of tribal food and non-food products
- Curb migration and ensure every child is enrolled and attends school regularly
- Participate in exhibitions organised by various organisations
- Skill development training and placement for unemployed/unskilled/semi-skilled youth
